Global Potato Summit 2025 Opens with Strong Industry Participation
The Global Potato Summit 2025 opened at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, with exceptional enthusiasm as key leaders from government, research bodies, and the potato industry marked the beginning of South Asia’s most influential platform for the entire potato value chain. The event was inaugurated by Shri Shyam Singh Rana, Hon’ble Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Haryana, accompanied by Dr. Sudhanshu of APEDA, Mr. Sanderp Thakkar of Mantra Agri Solutions, and senior officials from APEDA, ICAR, CPRI, NHRDF, and global delegations.
In his address, Shri Rana highlighted India’s rising leadership in the global potato ecosystem, emphasizing scientific cultivation, modern storage infrastructure, climate-smart agriculture, seed innovation, and stronger industry–government collaboration.
Over 600+ industry stalwarts, 200+ exhibitors, and participants from 20+ countries are attending the Summit, which promises high-level sessions on seed advancements, processing technologies, storage solutions, mechanisation, value addition, and export competitiveness.
A key highlight of the Opening Ceremony was the recognition of pioneering efforts by agri-entrepreneurs, progressive growers, and companies driving India’s emergence as a premium hub for table and process-grade potatoes.
The Summit will continue with B2B networking, matchmaking sessions, and an industry networking dinner—creating unmatched opportunities across farming, processing, logistics, and agri-technology.
