The latest dispatch (Nikasi) data released by the BKCSA, Deesa, indicates that 21.76% of the total potato stocks loaded during the 2026 season have been evacuated by the end of June. While dispatch has gathered momentum, 2.98 crore bags of potatoes still remain in cold storages, suggesting comfortable supplies for the coming months.



Market Outlook
Nearly 78% of the total stock is still in storage, indicating abundant supplies. Future prices will depend on processor demand, exports and the pace of stock liquidation during July and August.
Potato Bazaar Insight
The Deesa–BKCSA report highlights the region's significant potato inventory, with 3.81 crore bags loaded during the season. Although dispatch has crossed 21%, nearly 2.98 crore bags (14.90 lakh MT) continue to remain in cold storages. Processing (CIPC) potatoes have witnessed faster movement than table potatoes, while seed stocks are yet to begin dispatch. The pace of processor procurement and market arrivals over the next few weeks will play a crucial role in determining potato price trends.
